On our way to Cameron Highlands, we first had to take a boat for 3 hours from Taman Negara to the bus station, then we had to take a bus for another couple of hours. We also booked a bus for the same day from Cameron Highlands back to Kuala Lumpur at 5:30pm.

This left us with only 2 hours in Cameron Highlands, it was a whole lot of travelling for a little amount of time there, but boy was it worth it. Cameron Highlands was beautiful. Its basically a tea plantation as large as Singapore. It’s incredible. They are also famous for their strawberry farms. Though we only had 2 hours, which actually only gave us about 20 minutes to view and take pictures of the beautiful scene of tea plantations and only about 15 minutes to check out the strawberry farms, it was so worth it.

Because of our time restriction, our bus company that was bringing us back to Kuala Lumpur arranged for us to have a guide drive us to the places we wanted to see during the short period of time and make sure we are back in time for our bus.

This guy was going SO FAST, passing literally every single car on the road, it was so funny, I felt like we were on the amazing race. We were all so anxious because we had been travelling all day so it felt amazing to enjoy the view. Our guide brought us back to the bus station at 5:36pm, a little late, but our bus was waiting for us.

We arrived in Kuala Lumpur around 10:00pm, and found our hostel for our last night, (well, MY last night, the others were going to Langkawi in the morning, bastards.) Anyway this hostel was very cool, but really quite an experience. We stayed in a 24-people dormitory. It. Smelt. SO. Bad. Thank god we were only there for one night. It was pretty weird sleeping with plenty of strangers in the same room. Luckily I had brought a lock so all of our important things were safe, but yeah pretty weird.

That night we decided to make the most of our last night in K.L. and go to SkyBar, which is an amazing bar on the 33rd floor of a hotel, which has a legit PERFECT view of the Petronas Towers. It also had a large swimming pool. It was a Monday night so it closed a bit early, which was too bad, but it was nice to check it out. We all bought expensive drinks and danced a little bit, but that was the end of it, we got back to the hostel and wanted to stop at McDonalds because I have a new addiction to McDonalds ice cream, not sure if I’ve mentionned that already, but it was CLOSED :’(

In the morning the others left to the airport early to catch their flight to Langkawi and I slept in a bit and then did a bit of exploring on my own (and got a McDonalds ice cream hehe) before heading to the airport to catch my flight back to “Home sweet home” HK!
